RIC offers a two-year GCSE course where students study up to ten subjects over the two year period at our unique independent school in Kent, UK.
Why Complete A Two Year GCSE Programme At An Independent School?
Two year GCSE courses at RIC provide students with the chance to develop study skills, valuable time to discover where their aptitudes and potential lie, alongside the ability to change their minds during the course of the programme and find new directions before finalising their exam subject choices ahead of year 11. Furthermore, at the end of a two year GCSE course at RIC, students are well placed to apply for RIC’s sixth form, local grammar schools, or to other UK schools and Colleges.
The GCSE Curriculum
All students on our independent GCSE programme will study Maths, English Language and Literature and either Core Science or the three sciences. They can then choose freely from the wide range of subjects available at RIC including French, Spanish, Geography, History, Business Studies, Drama, Music, Economics, Business Studies, Art, Graphics, Photography, Textiles, Film, Classics and PE.
- Age: 14-15 at time of enrolment
- Open to UK and international students
- Course length: 2 years
- Course start: September, January or April in year 10
- Entry requirements: Successful performance in RIC entry tests (English, Maths)
- Other requirements: Interview, school report and passport
